EGYPTAIR CARGO GSA in Scandinavia

EGYPTAIR CARGO  is pleased to announce the assignment of Kales Airline Services as its cargo General Sales Agent (GSA) in Denmark , Finland , Sweden and Norway. This shall be effective from the September 01, 2009. Kales Airline Services will serve the Scandinavian market on behalf of EGYPTAIR CARGO through its online and offline offices. The aim is to serve, connect and extend new services to our customers through forwarding shipments on the extensive network of EGYPTAIR CARGO.

77 years have passed since the founding of EGYPTAIR on 7 May 1932. Background

EGYPTAIR CARGO was founded in 2002 as a subsidiary of the EgyptAir Holding Company Group. Since its foundation, EgyptAir Cargo has been on the forefront of transporting and handling general and special cargo.

Fleet

The EGYPTAIR CARGO  fleet is composed of four medium-range wide-body aircraft:
two A/C A300B4 Freighters and two A/C A300-600 Freighters.
The bellies of EGYPTAIR  passenger planes add significant capacity to EGYPTAIR CARGO cargo air transport capability as EGYPTAIR  flies to around 70 international major cities in Europe, USA, Canada, Africa, Gulf area and the Far East.

Hubs

EGYPTAIR CARGO main cargo hub is located at Cairo International Airport. EGYPTAIR CARGO developed several regional hubs at Hahn Airport in Germany , Ostend Airport in Belgium, Manston Airport in the UK , Sharjah Airport in the UAE and Nairobi Airport in Kenya, offering direct access to and from the most important trading centers in Europe ,Africa and the Middle East.

CARGO Terminals

 

EGYPTAIR CARGO established its first cargo terminal in May 1981 with a

50,000 square meter area and a capacity of 120,000 tons / year (an additional area of 9600 square meters has been recently added to the Cairo

cargo terminal to improve the cargo flow and increase capacity).
In September 1991 another cargo terminal at Alexandria International Airport was established with a capacity of 20,000 tons / year to better serve the northern region of Egypt. Ground transportation from the Cairo cargo

facility to the Alexandria cargo facility is available. A third cargo facility

with capacity of 30,000 tons / year has been constructed at the industrial

zone of 10th of Ramadan City, 30 minutes from Cairo International

Airport.

 

Services

 

EGYPTAIR CARGO serves the needs of worldwide customers, whether

they require quick services, specialized handling and transport or total

logistical solutions. Almost all of these services are airport-to-airport and

aimed at forwarders, brokers on other freight transport companies.

 

Business Expansion

 

EGYPTAIR CARGO extended their business to include the management and

operation of related projects like the Perishable Center at Cairo International

Airport in conjunction with HEA Community.
EGYPTAIR CARGO is planning to invest at least $50 million in a new 24,000m2 (258,000ft2) cargo handling centre at Cairo Airport. A similar new facility was opened last year in Luxor.
